Looking For A Little Online Marketing Help? Try These Tips | Eric - First

It is a great feeling to run a successful online business with unlimited profit potential while having the freedom to work whenever you want. Internet promotion helps you do that, and here are some effective methods to assist your business in making more money.

Increase your credibility and that of your business by offering major, reputable companies the opportunity to advertise on your website. Being associated with these companies increases your own credibility tenfold. This also serves to increase traffic and makes the site more appealing to visitors.

Do not go over budget when paying for advertising. You don?t want to waste money on something that is of no benefit to your business. The wise investor knows what he is paying for, and what is being paid for is worth the money. This is one thing that makes banners a strong marketing investment.

TIP! A FAQ (frequently asked questions) section on your website is a convenience that your customers will appreciate. Your customers will be able to find answers quickly to questions.

Before you set out to get your website ranked, you should concentrate on building a quality site. This should be the first step for everyone in web business. If you start with a well-functioning, visually appealing site, you?ll have a solid foundation that will require less effort to upgrade later.

Offer promotions and incentives to encourage people to come to your website. Put one of your e-books on sale for a dollar for one or two days. The people that flock to your site for their free ebook will likely take a look at anything else you are selling. It is not unusual for such visitors to purchase other things that you have for sale on your website in addition to the e-book.

You need to have an engaging website set up in conjunction with your ongoing Internet promotion campaign. You can experiment with different layouts and color combinations to see which gives you the best results. Keep that in mind when you are building your site.

TIP! Offer an electronic freebie that is branded with your business and your website, and submit it to other sites that offer and list that particular item for free. For example, offer a free e-book and then submit it to different directories for e-books.

It is imperative that you learn proper usage of HTML tags. These tags are used to indicate key content on the page and makes it appear bold. Tags also tell search engine spiders what your site is about. Be sure to emphasize the important keywords.

?Fast? is a very powerful word in marketing. Time is sometimes given more priority as opposed to saving money, it is then important to make sure that you let customers know you do things in a quick manner.

Do not use spam. While it may seem efficient to post a bunch of comments on sites, those posts won?t have the positive effect you desire. And actually your impersonal touch will probably turn people off and make them feel irritated instead of interested.

TIP! Don?t give up on projects that don?t seem to work when you first try them. Your idea that failed to catch on in the past, may work now.

Secure the system you use to accept payments. You should offer a secure payment method like Paypal so users will feel comfortable making transactions. In addition, you should require customers to set up a password-protected account prior to providing you with their personal data and payment information.

Use a succinct caption and an accurate description for all the images on your website. Search engines always look at the text surrounding a picture to see if the image is relevant to what the person is searching for. Giving all of your images appropriate, descriptive captions can make a noticeable difference in your search engine results page standing.

Keep careful tabs on the information you give to your customers when using internet marketing to promote your small business. You need to make your articles high quality and different. Keeping your information fresh and updated is extremely helpful for visitors to your website.

TIP! Build a dictionary of terms to seem more professional. This will be very helpful for your customers and yourself.

You can get great marketing results from an Ezine that is designed to forge closer ties with subscribers. You can show your personality by adding photos of you along with your family and staff. In addition, write some fun memories about your employees or family. When you use a title that sparks their interest, they will be more likely to click!

Pay attention to your competitors. Their strategies may help you refine your own, allowing you to better reach your customer base. If you see yourself as a potential customer for their products, then they are doing something right. You should find a way to incorporate these ideas into your strategy.

TIP! Keep statistics that are highly-detailed. This could be sales, refunds, referrals, conversion, or anything else you can measure.

It is essential to know your target audience when you are trying to grow your Internet business. Selling sports items to someone who is interested in Star Wars is not going to make you much money. It just becomes easier to sell a product or service you are passionate about, as opposed to anything else. So market accordingly unless you?re a baseball card and old Star Wars toy retailer; then by all means go for it!

Title your products as ?limited? in advertising. Many people turn to online retailers because they feel local stores have nothing new or fresh to offer. Customers require items that are unique and different. Customers will feel that ?limited edition? products are special, and will be more likely to buy them.

Affiliate marketing should produce further marketing campaigns. It does sound unorthodox, but the idea is such that you want to create a pattern of customers finding your business, purchasing something and repeating the cycle.

TIP! Create a signature to put at the bottom of each e-mail you send, whether it?s for a personal or business message. Your e-mails are like your business cards on the internet.

You may start with a small company, but it?s your responsibility to keep working at it until you get to the level of success you want. Don?t stop when you initials goals are satisfied, come up with new goals and continue to grow and improve. Continue to learn new techniques until you go even beyond your goals. Best of luck to you in your business ventures

Fitbloggin' Health and Fitness Conference Recap

I'm back from Fitbloggin'12 in Baltimore, Maryland. What a great weekend! FitBloggin? is an annual health and fitness conference where hundreds of bloggers and brands from across the country come together to discuss health and fitness related topics and how to utilize social media to help promote overall wellness. This was my first year attending.

I felt proud being the weight loss surgery lifestyle blogger representative and sharing what life is like with rearranged guts. We may have had an initial helping hand with surgical assistance but we're not too different from each other. Life = healthy food choices, moving the body daily and working on the head. Rinse, lather, repeat, FOREVER whether you had surgery or not.

I learned a ton at the educational sessions, made some healthy new pals and connected with some old pals. I love going to conferences like these they are so crammed packed with information, smiles and laughter.

I am thankful to Fitbloggin' for offering the opportunity to Liveblog a session in exchange for a free ticket. I was assigned to live blog a session called, "Drive More Traffic Through SEO" presented by Brandi K. of DietsinReview.com a website I often read. You can read my liveblog notes from her presentation on the Fitbloggin' website if you want to know more about Search Engine Optimization. She shared some awesome, surprisingly easy and free tips. If you blog and you want Google to give you love be sure to read the session notes.
I want to also thank Big Train makers of nom nom nom Fit Frappe for picking up some of the tab for my trip. In exchange my fellow blogging pal Beth and I had the super enjoyable task of sharing our love for their product with the new blogger pals we made. If you haven't tried Fit Frappe you have to try it, it's soooo good.
Made lots of new friends. Here's Mark L. past contestant on The Biggest Loser Season 10. My pal Beth and I shared our Big Train Fit Frappe with him and he shared one of his favorite protein sources with us. Here's Beth and I doing a video review of his Protein Ice Power Shots.

The Food: I ate some delicious food. Lots of protein. I had Maryland crab (of course) in a salad and in a killer soup. I will try and recreate that soup soon. The Fitbloggin' meals provided were great, which is not always the case at these conventions. I was impressed. Moist, flavorful chicken and salmon, lovely salads, hard boiled egg Popsicles at breaks with little bottles of Tabasco sauce (such a cute idea), a celery root soup with chive oil that was the bomb, eggplant tapenade and veggies. Lots of healthy choices for this high protein, low carber.
The Hotel: We stayed at the Hyatt Regency Baltimore Inner Harbor. If you are going to Baltimore for a convention or family trip I highly recommend it, for location it can't be beat. The hotel staff was lovely and helpful, the convention facilities were great, the rooms are fine, comfortable beds, clean. The only negative was one night we returned late and everything was closed (hotel store, room service, there were no vending machines) so I bit the bullet at grabbed a drink out of the mini bar. I hated paying the $5 but I was dying of thirst. I hated it even more when I realized the slightly funky tasting, thicker than normal drink had expired a few weeks ago. I had them remove the charge and I'm not dead so it's all good.

The City: I had never been to Baltimore (Charm City) funny because as most of you know I grew up on Long Island. I'm a New Yorker born and raised. You'd think I'd have taken a family trip there but nope. We didn't get any daytime sightseeing in but we did walk several miles one night from our hotel in the Inner Harbor through Little Italy and Fell's Point and then took a Water Taxi home. I wrestled a giant crab and kissed a fish.

The Swag: Scored a lot of fun stuff from the awesome Fitbloggin sponsors. Super cool new RealFlex Fusion TR workout shoes from Reebok, Spices from McCormick Seasonings, that new Blender Bottle Sport Mixer, I had to have one of these stuffed eggs (a long lost cousin) from Eggland's Best, some swag sadly I had to pass on to pals... my yoga mat and a huge bottle of Febreze Laundry Odor Eliminator (for us stinky exercisers) because I was edging close to 50 pound weight limit on my luggage. It would be cool if they did more freebie coupons next year on the big stuff for those that have to fly from distances. Despite the stuff I passed on I still have a huge bag of awesome to sample. I'll review a few in the coming weeks.

I fell in love with these mini trampolines from JumpSport Fitness they are so much fun and seriously they are one kick ass workout. I watched an hour long trainer led session and the sweat was dripping from people. I am so getting one. I need the one with the safety handle at first. I'm a little wobbly and I think the bar will help me feel more secure. I'm thinking with practice one day I will not need it but I used to twist my ankle and fall a lot before I lost weight and I think I still have a bit of a fear. If you are looking for a fun workout this is it. I mean hello?! It's a trampoline! I felt like Tom Hanks in that scene in "Big."

Next year's Fitbloggin'13 event will take place in Portland, Oregon from June 25th ? 27th. The day before my birthday so plan to come celebrate with me. If you are like me and are documenting your weight loss journey with a blog you won't want to miss it!

New Fitbloggin' pals please connect with me on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest. Would love to keep in touch!

If you do your research and act wisely, you will find that profitable Internet marketing is possible. There are many different ways to market products on the Internet, but all of those ways have one thing in common, a time investment. We only have limited time; applying yourself prudently is the best practice. Continuing reading to learn ways to ensure your business success by making the most of your time.

To get more customers, offer great sales for new clients. This will create an interest in tour company and draw many first time customers who may evolve into long term customers. Once you get people interested in a discounted item, make sure you offer them shopping suggestions and encourage them to order more products. Make sure you are confident.

When marketing your product, it is important that you have a FAQ. Offer answers about your products and solutions that will help. Write the questions so that your products are the answers without making it look like obvious product placement.

Use social networking sites, like Facebook or MySpace, to target a specific market. Many social media sites, including Myspace, have been increasingly stringent where spam and unsolicited communications are concerned.

Create an easily accessible email list of your potential and current clients. Include a place on your website for visitors to request information. Use these emails and the ones you acquire during purchases to compile your mailing list. Either way, you can use this information later to send out sales information, offer promotional materials or to ask for customer feedback.

It?s important to discover a strong niche when considering an online business. You cannot sell items to people unless you know what it is that they want. Niche marketing is one of the most important aspects of Internet market; it?s essentially the path that all other marketing techniques will travel down. So, in short, be thoughtful of the places that people interested in your business would be looking online before choosing where to advertise.

As with any business, it is crucial that you gain and maintain your customers? trust. Misleading customers with false advertising is extremely bad for business. Use things such as proven results and endorsements from experts and previous clients as proof to back up your claims.

Make your customers feel in control: organize your site efficiently so that your visitors can easily find what they are looking for. Customers feel this is important because of all the spam out there. Broadcast that it is optional for them to participate, and that will increase your visibility and credibility.

You will get more business if you offer a number of payment options. While credit cards are a simple option for customers to choose, a lot of people actually prefer to pay through online systems such as Paypal.

Limited time discounts encourage people browsing your website to hurry up and complete their purchases. You can highlight the discount by positioning it near the regular price on the featured items. Perhaps you might say something like, ?Buy now and save dollars on the purchase?.

Internet marketing is all about finding a problem and trying to fix it. Start your company by helping other people with their questions. If you are helping someone out with their issues they will buy a product and tell people about your business.

Have your website listed on all the major search engines and related directories. You need to know what terms people are searching for on Google that relate to your business. This seemingly insignificant tactic can be extremely powerful.

There is no reason why Internet marketing should be a time vampire. As long as you use good time management skills, you will be able to build your Internet marketing business while enjoying a happy life as well.

Starlets pumped to help Weitzman fight cancer

NEW YORK (AP) ? When you are a hot young starlet in Hollywood, you often get what you want. For Nikki Reed, that meant goose-bump calfskin, and for Chloe Grace Moretz, it was a menswear-inspired design. They are two of the celebrities to work with footwear designer Stuart Weitzman to craft shoes to their specs to help raise money for ovarian cancer research.

Weitzman has a long history of working with stars, and he finds many of them to be "frustrated fashion designers."

"It doesn't surprise me when they make requests or have ideas. They have a desire to create what they wear and what they look like," said Weitzman. "It would be surprising to me if they didn't want to have more input and try design."

The Young Hollywood Cares collection was co-designed this year by Moretz, Reed, Brooklyn Decker, Julianne Hough and AnnaSophia Robb.

Weitzman recalled Moretz's inspiration: "She told me as a kid, she would wear her father's wingtips and oxfords. ... And she wanted to make a shoe like her dad's that was sexy, high and wearable."

Other styles include Decker's gold metallic cap-toe black multistrap ankle boots, and Robb's black pony-hair stiletto pumps with burgundy satin piping.

This is the second round of collaborations, following last year's successful fundraising effort of $80,000, which was done without much promotion or publicity, Weitzman said.

"I want to be more visible," he said. "I have learned it's hard to ask people for money and it's harder to get them to give it, but if you have fun and make some noise, you can rattle it. You'll buy something, even if it costs a little more, but why not for a good cause?"

Proceeds from the collection benefit research at the Folkman Institute/Vascular Biology Program at Boston's Children's Hospital.

Your Guide To Commercial Real Estate Success | Tic Tracker

Investing in commercial real estate can be highly profitable, but it requires patience, as well as careful study and research. A number of newcomers to commercial real estate investing have successfully learned the ropes and turned a tidy profit. The purpose of this article is to educate you about some of those basics so you too can experience success.

Be sure to have your property inspected by a licensed inspector prior to placing it up for sale. You should consult with them and see if anything needs to be repaired; if it does go ahead and fix that as soon as possible.

Look around at the general environment around the building. You will have to clean up environmental wastes from your building. Is the area around your property prone to flooding? You may need to think again. You can contact environmental assessment agencies to obtain information about the area in which you are considering buying something.

In order to determine whether or not the real estate broker you?re working with is right for you, discuss their definitions of successes and failures. Find out what criteria they use to determine their results. Strive to understand the various strategies that they employ. You should only partner up with a broker if there is common ground in your shared beliefs and thinking.

TIP! You should have a necessary-to-know list, and emergency maintenance must always have a place on that list. Find out from the landlord who you should call if the worst happens, and you need immediate repairs.

Commercial Property

Before buying a piece of commercial property, decide what you intend to do with the property once you buy it. Do you want to start your own business there or do you want to lease the space? Have some clear goals before you look for commercial property, it will save you time and a lot of work.

You want to verify that the rent roll and pro forma terms match. You don?t want to regret anything in the future. If you fail to closely examine these terms, you may not notice that there are terms that were not thought about with regards to the rent roll, altering the pro forma.

Location is key in commercial real estate. Consider how the neighborhood will affect business. Also look into growth of similar areas. You want to know that the community will still be decent and growing a decade from now.

TIP! See to it that the price that you ask for in real estate is realistic. There are a variety of different factors that go into determining a property?s value.

Before you consider leasing or renting, look into whether or not pest control is covered in the lease. This is especially true when renting in an area that has a lot of bugs or rodents, so be sure to talk to the rental agent about some pest control policies.

Steve Wozniak Burnishes Steve Jobs' Reputation With Pro-Australia ...

Every Simon had his Garfunkel, every Leopold had his Loeb, the indispensable partner who nonetheless was never quite the equal of the other. And the late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs had Steve Wozniak, the one-time dater of Kathy Griffin, Dancing with the Stars contestant, and, by all accounts, the tech wiz who as much as any individual on the planet helped revolutionize computing and make it personal in a way that was just unimaginable to the slow-moving icebergs of companies such as IBM.

Post-Apple (he officially left the company in 1987), Woz has padded around the globe as an eccentric tech guru and peace bear and occasional cameo presence on nerd-heavy shows such as The Big Bang Theory. Now, as Reason 24/7 notes, he's plumping for Australian citizenship because he digs the Land Downunder's plan to subsidize its lagging broadbrand penetration:

Wozniak told? The Australian Financial Review?in Sydney that he had spoken to Communications Minister Stephen Conroy and was in support of the federal government?s fibre rollout.

?I spoke to him and they plan to roll it out to everyone in the country,? Mr Wozniak said.

And there's this: "I live in a country where we don?t have any regulation of telecommunications.?

Woz further said this to AFR:

Despite his status as a technology icon, Mr Wozniak said he was not connected to a broadband service in his home in California, classing the options available to him as a ?monopoly?. ?There?s only one set of wires to be on and I?m not going to pull strings to get them to do something special for me,? he said. ?When I worked at Hewlett-Packard we treated ourselves like a family and protecting each other and I believe in that.

?I?ve sat with our FCC [Federal Communications Commission] commissioner and told him that story in his office, but it?s not going to happen. We just don?t have the political idea to bring broadband to all the people who are 1 kilometre too far away.?

As it happens, the United States has higher broadband penetration by household than Australia. And it's a country where the regulation of telecommunications is not simply present but overbearing - and itching to expand its province all the time. One of the reasons that the internet and World Wide Web flourished in the U.S. (and elsewhere) is precisely because the FCC and other parts of the government have been thwarted in ongoing attempts to regulate content and access to the 'net.

Part of me would like very much to live in Woz's world: Money beyond calculation, rightly earned gadget guru status, a legacy of liberatory technology. And part of me wonders how the hell this guy ties his shoes in the morning. No telecon regulation in these United States? His reality testing is about as powerful as the old Apple IIe I used 20-plus years ago.

To remind yourself that the FCC exists, watch this 2010 Reason TV vid, "3 Reasons the FCC Shouldn't 'Touch' the Internets":
