Nourish Your Sensitive Acne-Prone Skin Back to Health ...

As the weather changes, your skin can really take a beating. From unexpected sunshine to harsh winter winds, your face often becomes the victim. For those of us with naturally sensitive skin, this can be really damaging; especially if we also suffer from acne-prone skin.

Rather than spend your hard earned cash on pricey over-the-counter products that just dry your skin more, why not try an at-home remedy? Greening your skincare routine is good for more than just your skin; it?s good for your overall health.

Were you aware that most women put approximately 515 chemicals on their skin through their cosmetic products? Sounds gnarly, right! Reduce the number of toxins entering your body by following my fail-proof sensitive skin savvy, acne-fighting DIY?s.

Redness-Reducing Calming Facial Cleanser

Ingredients: ? cup Organic Coconut Milk
- 1 teaspoon Chamomile Powder
- 2-3 drops of Tea Tree Oil

Simply whip together all your ingredients in a clean bowl. Smooth out any clumps that may form from the chamomile powder.

Using clean fingers, gently massage this cleanser all over your face. Using upward, circular motions work in the cleanser paying particular attention to your sensitive areas and acne-prone regions.

Finally, rinse off your cleanser with lukewarm water and pat dry with a clean facial towel.

Not only does this cleanser pack a soothing, nourishing punch from the coconut milk and chamomile powder but the tea tree oil is a natural anti-fungal and antibacterial agent that is gentle enough to soothe your skin while preventing future outbreaks!

Sensitive Acne Moisturizer

- 2 tablespoons Grape Seed Oil
- 1 tablespoon Coconut Oil
- 1/3 cup Rosewater
- 1 tablespoon Aloe Vera (freshly pulped or gel)
- 1 teaspoon raw Honey

It?s important to moisturize even acne-covered skin. Many people forget to do this, or are scared to but it?s important to re-hydrate. Just follow these 7 simple steps for the perfect moisturizer:

- Melt down your cocoa butter, grape seed oil and coconut oil over low heat, stirring often.
- Pour melted oils into blender and let cool.
- Over low heat, simmer your rosewater, aloe vera and honey.
- When your liquids have come together nicely add in your Vitamin E then remove from heat and cool.
- Remove the center piece from your blender lid and slowly pour in your liquids to your oils with the blender on.
- Apply your final product all over your face and enjoy!

If DIY?s really aren?t your thing but you?re still interested in a greener skincare option, there are effective green acne treatmentsavailable.Look for products that include ingredients like green tea extract, passion flower extract or aloe vera.
